Default Pertronix Ignitor II installation help

Has anyone installed a Pertronix Ignitor II kit? Mine is a 91181 kit for a 1970 vette with a 454. Looking for advise, tips success/failure. And with this kit do I have to remove dist from car, remove drive gear and shaft to install. I do know this was req'd with the original ignitor kits

When I installed the Ignitor (in my small block) I didn't have to
remove it to install the kit BUT I had no idea what condition the
rest of the stuff was in.Mine didn't require any spacers, maybe I was lucky.I can only say try it and see (if the gaps are OK and it's all
within the specs-you should be good to go).

It is very easy; just follow the the instructions. You do not have to remove the distributer gear unless shimming is required. I have installed 2, and both were within spec.

If you get stuck Pertronix has an excellent tech if you call them. I've put their units in 2 different cars and had to call him once. He knows his product and is very helpful. Overall its an easy install.
