Got one on my '75. Think it's a 2116. No problems untill the Q-Jet crapped out, see other threads.
It's got do give you a few extra HP and weight savings.
Clearence for the hood/air cleaner were fine. Just lower the hood gently the first time.

I may be completely wrong, but don't the quadrajet carbs need a spreadbore manifold, and not square like the performer. My old quadrajet removed from my 75 L48 engine is spreadbore and I put a performer manifold on mine with a Holley 600, which is square bore.

2701 is a squarebore manifold. Adapter will be required to run a Q-Jet. That will make clearance an issue.

2101 (non-EGR) and 3701 (EGR) are direct fir Performer spreadbore manifolds. I had a 2101 with a stock aircleaner with no issues.

You will probably not feel any performance gain by just swapping the intake manifold, but the Edelbrock aluminum intake will be lighter and look better. I got the 3701 for my 80 vette (California emissions) and there are no hood clearance problems. Its height is almost identical to stock.

2101 fit fine on my '73, even with a 1/4" gasket, but just, it is higher then stock. C.

2101 works w/ Q-J. Previous 2101 is best for performance.
