Last weekend I replaced my old fan clutch. The old clutch was seized up and would not let the fan spin freely. I installed the new clutch for under $35.00 and WOW, what a difference. I can definitely feel the difference in acceleration and the car seems to do much better at highway speeds.
I was just curious how much of an increase in HP did this make?

Maybe 5.....At the most....NOW if you can feel the difference with that...Just wait till you really make some Mods......U are in for a treat......I see u have a 383 are u running Headers or true Duals...??
I am running headers with true duals. I do however still have cats. I would love to get rid of them in the future, but I'm still unclear on the local laws.

Local laws aside you are already in violation of federal law (you have removed the original system and installed a non-option system) so I would do what you want.
Yeah I replaced mine for about 35.00 and noticed a little more acceleration. I took the fan off my F-150 and went to electric and couldnt believe the difference. Without the fan it was almost seat of the pants acceleration difference.. Anyone notice a difference with the electric on their Vette?
