how do i get 12 volts
does anyone know how i can get 12 volts to the electrical system with the motor and trans out of the car. i hooked up the battery cables but everthing is dead.

If you look at the power distribution schematic for a 78' below (all years are close to this) you can see the red wires that DW is referring to. You need to power these. Don't forget the ground wire too.
