Default Power Window Motor wiring Question

While redoing my 1969 interior wiring and such I decided to replace my Power Window HArness as well. I only had problems with the portion that connect to the power window switch, but did not realize until I bought (and opened the harness) that I could just buy replacement pigtails
Anyway, my question is replated to attaching the harness to the motor in the door. I have already fished the wire, but can not seem to locate the connection on the motor for the black ground wire. I have the original motor on the passenger side and replacement on driver side and on neither can I figure out where the ground connects.

Can anyone offer any guidance? Can I just ground to the door?

Ground it to window regulator linkage or the door frame.

What does the end of the ground wire look like ? Is it a female push on type,if so there should be a spade some where.

Female push type with a plastic casing over it. It is the spade part I can't find. I will look for the window regulator linkage and see if I can find a connector.

You may just need to solder/crimp a ring connector on there and ground it to the case/regulator.

I guess I can do that. Its disappointing though. I have spend the last 3 months completely restoring every aspect of my internal wiring, vacuum, switches, console, the hole deal.... (Did the seats and carpets last year) and have tried to restore everything to the way its SUPPOSED to be. Now I get to this level of reassembly and can't find the plug this thing is supposed to attach to.
Attaching it to the door seems like giving up (and I may end up doing it) before I figure out where it is SUPPOSED to plug in.

Unfortunately the pic in the AIM is very general and from a very "far away" perspective. It shows the two (up down) wires connected on the rear facing part of the motor and the ground wrapped around and connected on the front end of the motor. However the front end of the motor is inside the door cavity and while I can feel all around it, I can't feel a "port" for a connection.

My C3 Vettes don't have grounds in the doors for the power windows. The factory harness is the up/dn wiring that connects to motor case female plug. The windows work fine grounding through the hinges to the body. I think the 68's had a ground wire, but my 70, 72, 74 and 76 Vettes (some long since sold) did'nt have grounding wires. Good luck Eric.

Thanks Eric, There definitely are 3 wires on the harness that pass into the door. The Doc Rebuild Wiring Diagram shows a motor ground as well.
