It would get pulled out sometimes while driving when the engine would rock. Motor mounts are good the wire is just too short. But now it has no power coming from the battery and the wire is fed all up into the frame and body just so I cant get to it. This is coming directly from the battery correct? And would it be easier to just run a new wire?
Do you have power to the wire with the car off? Does the wire from the alternator go straight to the horn relay? I'm kind of fuzzy on the wiring after '69.

Driveshaft is there a fusible link in the battery charge wire, the 82 book shows there is ? It looks to me like it should have one on both ends.
There is not one on my car, but my car has not always been taken perfect care of before I bought it.
Looking at the pictures of the harness from various vendors, I dont see one.
The pic below is from Corvette central - It is labeled "ALTERNATOR - TO BATTERY HARNESS WITH STEREO TAPE PLAYER "
The front lighting harness is different as well based on tape player installation. The non tape player harness includes alternator wiring.
