Yeah, me too. Connecting through a major Corporations network and the Forum "freezes up" and explorer times out. Usually it flys! Been happining for a few weeks now... very frustrating. Three times now, I was in the middle of typing a post, and it froze up... bummer :mad

Yes, there seem to be problems this week.

I don't think there's any site I've been to that hasn't experienced connection/service problems at one time or another. Heck, a lot of sites have scheduled down time every week to update/repair the systems.

Personally, for a site as busy as this one is, I think the performance is GREAT 99% of the time. That, and the price of such a great source of Corvette information (FREE!) makes me say: Keep up the good work guys

I would have to agree. A former .Com company owner whos service was a free service, I know how hard it is to run a popular site. The admin are doing a great job concerding the load to the system. Keep up the good work. More Memory.. MORE MEMORY... you can never have enough. I wish it was as easy to upgrade my corvette as it is to upgrade my computer.....

Keep up the good work admins. Keep those hampsters running in there little wheel.

chris.

Try Northern Minnesota where in some cases we still have party lines--with all the Vette photo's to download I just take a small nap in between--most often worth the wait--a wealth of info--plus an awful lot of nice people--patience Grasshopper

Your still using a dialup? Thats the problem. Maybe you need to upgrade to the 21st century instead of using your free internet. :jester

Actually I think some of the problem was the server and memory which has now been upgraded.

I have never had any problems logging onto this site. Well technically that's not true, every now and again our router goes out and my T3 connection quickly turns into cursing and kicking. But when the internet is operational I haven't had any problems with this site.

The connection problems you mention have been most likely due to the upgrades they ARE doing. There have been several notices about this. These problems have been intermittent but the upgrading should be finished soon and the problems gone. Speaking as a computer geek, I think they have done a very good job in keeping the site running. It would have been nice if everything could have been done at once with clear notices of a planned outage but.... Sometimes computer upgrades turn into a "while I'm in there" affair.

Well, to the sysadmin(s) out there running this site: Great job! Keep it up.

How many sites are as popular as this site to Corvette enthusiats? It is worth the wait to gain the knowledge that you do here. Why are there so many people complaining? This is a free site. I could see if this site charged you a monthly fee, but they don't. So why don't we stop complaining and just keep doing what this site is meant for? And that is to help. :flag
