Just wondering if anyone has any experience doing this and if it's worthwhile.
I have a stock 1974. No modifications. Rochester carb. seems to be original and is no working well at all.
My brother has given me a nearly new Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake.
I am considering installing the intake and putting on a new Edelbrock carb.
Keep in mind that this is a base corvette with the basic 195 horsepower 350. I only want a cruiser, not a street racer.
Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Frank
A dual plane intake like the Performer would be a better match for you.
The Victor Jr. is a race intake that can work well on the street w/ the right setup.
Clearance is the least of your worries - even if it did fit, it'd be the wrong intake. Very poor off-idle and low-speed driveability and likely mushy through the RPM range. You'd hate it.
