Default Brake Booster Actuation Rod Length

Does anyone know the proper length or method of setting the proper length of this rod from the vacuum boost power brake can. After installing a new master cyl. the pedal is now allot lower than before. It's a good firm pedal and the brakes work fine there's just allot more free travel than before.

It now measures 6 1/8".
