here's a pretty disappointing chassis-dyno test, it showed 290 hk on the crank and 220 on the rw and yes with fulllength headers and 2 1/2 exhaust (not my engine) :

I have been saying for years not to buy internet crate motors, they inflate the HP numbers to sell motors and here is proof. And one blew up to boot. I guess my message will never get thru. I know it's hard for you guys across the pond to get something done local but there is one thing you can look for. A properly built motor is going to cost money, if it's cheap it's made with cheap parts and thrown together by 5 dollar an hour assemblers.
You want a good motor go to my friend, he is reasonable and the motor won't blow up, he stands behind it.

thank you for the advice, I guess one of the problems here is that newbies not familiar with the American Car hobby are easily fooled, been there done that myself
