Where you at? I might consider loaning it out. Not like I'll need it again for a while.
Thank you for the offer. I see them on Ebay but my original compressor is English and the new Delco replacement is metric so I have to be sure I get the right tools to rebuild the original.

I'll get one on Ebay.

Is the front seal on a A6 any more difficult. The compressor seems fine but I hate to charge it with an old front seal and brand new compressor is out of my price. I'm not sure if the commercial rebuilds are worth it or any better than changing out the front seal. Its tough to find anyone who can or wants to this relatively minor job, they all want to swap in new parts.

I see several tool kits for the compressor clutch removal, but make sure you get one with the specialized tools for the seal removal.
There's one that pulls out the ceramic disk and another that removes the spring loaded seal.

Until 2 weeks ago I had absolutely no knowledge of the seal replacement procedure, now that I've done 3 of them I'm a pro
I know my tool kit is for both styles of compressors, and that there were 2 different types of seal removal/installer tools in the kit, so I'm not sure if the seals are the same. Similar, at least.
The clutch removal/installation looks the same.

Here's what my tool kit looks like.....
