1970 Pertronix ignition install
Is this necessary, and easily done?
I think the easiest way is to use the IGNITION terminal in the fuse box ( above the brake pedal ) with a new wire from there...
Or you can use the old power wire to coil to just activate a relay, and take +12V power from the horn relay ( with an inline fuse for instance ) for your new distributor.

large pink wire in the fuse box is the igntion wire.
you can tap directly into that.
mine has been run from this pink wire for a long time like a lot of other peoples here. there are plenty of holes in the firewall to push a wire through. just find a rubber grommet and push,
or the yellow wire going to the wiper motor can be used to power a relay and then go straight from the lug on the alternator,
