Does anyone have a diagram of the idler pulley on a '69 427 w/ps. The layout of my fan belts is that I have one belt going from the outer pulley on the crank to the outer pulley on the water pump and to the inter pulley on the p/s unit, then on the outer pulley on the p/s unit to the pulley on the alt. that leaves the inter pulleys on the crank and the water pump which is to have this idler pulley to tension that belt, but I can't seam to find any pictures, diagrams, on how this idler is to bolt up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
No AC. but without the idler the first pulleys are empty because there is no way to tension the belt between the crank and the water pump so I figured I might as well figure out what the idler connects to and go ahead and install it. There lies the problem I can't find any info. on the bolt up.
there is a bracket that bolts to the block. This bracket has a bearing where the idler rotates on the bracket. Some of the venders have pictures of both the idler and the bracket.
