Default F.Gregg headlight install help?

Howdy all,

I have my F.Gregg headlight kit but there was not much in the way of instructions. I know these are popular and wondered if anybody had done a pic thread on the install of them?

Doesn't' look to hard but I am scratching my head on a couple issues?

A little help?

thanks

They just bolt in the orig holes. If you bought the headlight buckets (I hope you did) they will bolt up to the main housings. The covers are another story. They can be installed many diff. ways.

Most chose to use hinges. If you go that route buy aircraft stainless hinges. Do not use hareware store cheap piano hinges. They look like crap. If you need help PM me and I will give you my phone number.

Heres mine.

That's what I figured, but they (the housings) don't seem to line up quite right. Could the fact I have a 79 matter? I would not think so.

They are about 95% there but seem to be off across the front holes and the rear outboard corners seem to want to interfere with the body, should I just trim them a bit?

Yes, I got the buckets, but cant seem to see how the bucket are supposed to "bolt up" to the housings, that's my biggest point of confusion. A pic of the buckets mounted in the housings would be a huge help

Thanks

Yes. Being a 79 would cause a few problems. you may have to drill a few mounting holes or make some type of bracket. The headlight mounting buckets need to be set in place after you get the housings mounted. Then drill a few 1/4/ 20 holes through the back of the brackets and bolt them to the housings. You want to get them as level as you can.

BINGO!

So I DO need to drill the housings in order to mount the buckets to them?

And yeah I figured some trimming, modifying would be necessary on the housings, just wanted to make sure.

THAT makes it all make sense
