I'm getting senile and forget. If you take an ect sensor and put it in a vice, put a heat gun on it, what is the range of ohms from cold to hot you should get?
Hard one to call since the input required by each gauge can vary. . I'm trying to hurry I have to leave but these should get you close! I'll check back later tonight. What year is the car?
100 - 315 ohms
first mark 119
220 - 89 ohms
2nd mark 61 ohm
280 39 ohms.
It's actually the original temp sensor that came out of a 69 Camaro Z/28 302.
When the car was warmed up I was getting around 31-32 at the sensor and as it cooled a little while later around 45ohm. The temp gauge isn't working though so I wanted to make sure it wasn't the sensor before pulling it.
