If you're measuring the pressure with one of those little inline gauges from Jegs or Summit, please take a rock and smash it. None of them work properly.

You should see 5 1/2 to 6. If the pressure is above 6 you run the risk of flooding and stalling per my Edelbrock carb owner's manual.
In addition to pressure you should check for flow rate per instructions in the service manual.
