I need to build my Quadrajet, I know there may be better carbs out there. It is on a 76 L48 auto. The numbers on my carb are 17056206, 2595 ADB. Which model carb is this so I get the correct kit and what kit do you suggest.

17056206 is the correct carb for your 76 Vette, just give NAPA that number. Get a new Echlin nitro fill float too. Here's a how to if you need it. http://www.4wheelnoffroad.com/qjet.html PG.
Thanks Pete, this gas is killing everything I've got. Motorcycles, 4-wheelers, weed-eaters, and now my vette. Looked like glue in the bottom of the carb. This has happened since last year. I don't drive it much due to I'm still restoring it so it is a pain trying to keep fresh gas in it.
Yes, ethanol laced gas is crap. But that's what we have now. We just have to clean and coat our gas tanks, replace gas intank pickups, fuel lines, do fuel pump rebuild/replacements, and rebuild our carbs. Thank you missinformed government.
The Q jet is an excellent carb-when it is set up correctly. Lots of off the line power and great mileage. I recommend that you do a search on this Forum and get good information on rebuilding and set up.
Many will say-Holley. They are also good and easier to rebuild and set up. If you what to stay "original" stay with what was stock for your car. Good luck.
