TPI knock sensor relocation?
Im installing a TPI system on my 76, i've seen where people have had clearance issues with the knock sensor location and headers. Obviously I am going to have to use a electric fuel pump, so I am going need to make a block off plate for the mechanical pump. My question is, can I put the knock sensor in the block off plate? It seems to be much easier access there. But would it still pick up any knocks in the engine, or would being in that location pick up too many different sounds from the timing chain, pulleys, ect and get a false reading?

I have seen them mounted in the back of the head in the accessory bolt holes and in the coollant drain holes of the block ,the ones in the center of the block by the oil pan. I doubt you would get any feedback from the knock sensor mounted in the fuelpump plate.Not a good thing
