I am going to r/r my rear bumper cover (76) anything I need to watch for or any handy hints to expedite the job ? thanks in advance.
If the retainer brackets are anything like the front ones you will be lucky if you don't break any of those. I ended up buying new retainers (From Wilcox!) for the front...
I bought one (fiberglass) for a 75, and discovered that apparently the seam on the back of a '75 is flat, and it's curved on the back of a 76. This creates a gap on the sides while it's tightly butted in the middle.
Moral of the story: since you have a 76, make sure you get one for a 76 even if you're offered a good price on one for a '75!
Easy to install . . . NOPE! I have some info on our site about how to install these covers and I highly suggest anyone considering this installation to read them. http://willcoxcorvette.com/advanced_...eywords=bumper
