Just got Wagner standard pads for my front , semi metalic . . No grinding or other issue , just low on remaining pad . Gunna put them on with no new disc , So they came with no special backing to the piston side .
I belive they recomened a " EMS " coating to be applied and let dry .
Question ? Dry pads Ok ? or a coating of ems ? Auto store has some kind of green stuff ???
Of course I will lub the edges on metal that slides on caliper .
Thanks for any input

On Porsche's and my Corvette I put silver or gold anti-sieze on the slides and the backs of all the pads. I have seen two many problems with the plastic glue on the back of brake pads. I have seen the pads glued to the piston seals and rip the seals on removing the pads.
Make sure you champer the new pads with old rotors or you may end up with a squeak and or low soft brake pedal.
