Default Starter Nose

Anyone know where I can buy just the starter nose. My starter works great but the inner bolt (near the block) came out and when installing a new one the hole in the starter where the bolt goes through must have been cracked and it broke when I went to torque the bolt. I have the staggered bolt pattern.

Thanks

Good question. I didn't even think of checking I was so pissed. I think cast. I'm just trying to save money. I guess I could try a junk yard and get an old crappy starter but there are not a lot of junk yards around anymore. Especially pick-a-part types.

I think the core charge at Autozone and Advanced is only $15 so they might sell you one.

You can buy a rebuilt starter for around 20 bucks at a parts store, save a lot of aggrevation. Junk the rest of it if you don't like it.

There are thousands of noses out there and any starter/alternator rebuilder or junk yard in town will have them for a few bucks as complete cores are only worth about $10.00.....that part is NOT Corvette specific.

Wally,
I knew that but thanks for bringing it up to those that may not realize it.
