Default mystery hose??

im in need of some input guys. i was installing a new ac compressor and doing all that fun stuff, when i noticed a rather large hose that wasnt attached to anything. so i looked around for like 20 min at all the possible places it could reach, but was unable to find a spot. can anyone direct me to its propper home? its comming from the "smog pump" i believe. it looks similar to the one going to the header.

THANKS!

That looks to me like the hose that connects to the exhaust manifolds air inlet or the hose that goes to the cad converter.

The air pump, pumps air into the exhuast for emissions.

ok nevermind, the one going into the manifold is right. its the one toward the front a little higher on the pump in your pic. it looks like it isnt plugged into anything in the pic you posted.

alright, now that i have some sunlight to really see everything, ive found out that the stock cat is gone and been replaced with a bolt on one that is different from stock.(no hole for air tube) also, everything from the tube that comes from the air pump(pictured above)is gone, all the way to the cat.

my question is....since ive read that its ok not to have that, what do i do with the hose comming off my air pump now that leads to nothing? cap it off somehow at the air pump? cap off the hose?

also, is this causeing my check engine light? i dont think so. i probably have a few things that are causeing it actually, just making sure this isnt one of them.

I would just cut or take the belt off the pump. I would not cap it. The air needs to go somewhere from the pump, so just disconnect the pump or put the right cat converter on with a air inlet. I have one if you want it. I used it for 6 months and then went with new exhaust. I payed $140.00. you have it for $75.00 plus shipping. PM me if interested.

If you do disable/remove the AIR system, you might want to remove the injection tubes inside the exhaust manifold cuz the ends will mushroom from the heat w/o the air coming in and then you'd have to cut the ends off to remove them. Just a thought.
