Default 1981 fuel tank

Anyone know of a fuel cell that adapts to the factory location and fuel gage for an 81.

Confused by your post. What do you mean by "adapts"?
More detailed description of what you are asking. two seperate parts and locations. What are you trying to do?

I'm not sure if there is a fuel cell available that will fit. If you do find one, the sending unit will need to put out 0 - 90 ohms. 0 being empty and 90 full.
