t handle for hatch back window cable

t handle for hatch back window cable came off

hi folks
i have a 82 ce.the t handle for the hatch
back window cable came off.is there a
replacement handle i can get,that has
allen set screws in it.it would be nice to
be able to open the window.

Yes there are replacements available check the HELP section at Autozone or Advanced.

checked the help section at
autozone,and checker.no luck
there.finding one.

I know I've seen them there in the past, I'm going to O rileys today I'll look there and then stop by the others if I have a chance. Have you looked online at NAPA ?

yes,i have looked at napa.no luck there.
i have called all the auto parts stores here
in town.hardware stores to.no luck there.

hi folks
if i can't find the metal handle,
what kind of glue would be used to
hold the handle on.
super glue,j b weld.what kind of glue
did the factory use.

I thought you wanted a replacement handle with set screws that would open your back window. If you want a handle that looks like the original I doubt you will find that. You might have someone modify your original to use set screws.

I doubt you will find a glue that will hold for any length of time.

But if you do decide to use the replacement hood release handle I promise when you pull it the hood won't pop up.
