T & L Engines
I am extremely frustrated with this company.
A few points, good and bad.
They did build part for part the best HP for the dollar of any crate motor I found out there.
383 Stroker, Dart Iron Eagle heads, Comp Cams hydraulic roller, roller rockers, Edlebrock air gap manifold, 4 bolt mains, 420hp 460tq for $3,588.
LLoyd ask me to send my distributor and carb so they will dyno set up the engine with my parts. He welded a bead on my stock distributor so it would not over advance and cause predetination. I received a CD of the dyno test with my pasts installed.
They did this at no charge.
They told me 4 to 5 weeks and it took 9 but I finally got my motor.
You can't believe anything they tell you. When you finally get someone on the phone they are very polite but it's all BS, they never do what they say and NEVER CALL BACK as they promise
The promblum now is I also ordered "on there recommendation" a flywheel, presser plate and clutch disc. These parts have still not arrived. It's been 8 weeks they have been paid in full and almost 4 months sense I placed my order and I still do not have these parts.
They do not return phone calls or emails. There is no customer service.
What can you do when a company just will not respond.
Any Forum members know these guys and can help me out.
Well telling us is a good start. Now I know to stay away from there.
If you ordered with a credit card I would cancel the order through the credit card company and that will definately get their attention.
Then finally, after that is done, don't do business with them ever again.
I can understand it being cheap, but it looks like you got a serious case of "you get what you pay for"
Sorry about the bad luck.
Order your parts from someone else and cancel order if it is on a card. You just sealed the deal for me, i wont order from them. Derebery said their 383 420 hp-460tq actually dynos at 440-450hp. I think i'm heading that direction. Good luck!
There are so many post across all sorts of forums about T&L. I don't understand why anyone would order from them unless you have a few years of your life to waste, and like pain and suffering.

Low and behold the power of the Forum.
I got a call today that my parts have shipped and should arrive on Tuesday.

I have been saying this since I invented the internet. Don't buy a engine over the internet. Buy local, have one built for you close enough to where you live so if there are any problems you can go and poke them with a stick

Hey, waitaminnit! I invented the internet, except its called the errornet, then some veep with a bird name came along and tried to call it his "superhighway" and started calling everything cyber this and cyber that. I can tell you this here erronet could never be built by a guy who cant spell potato and thinks footprints are made of carbon dioxide.
I'm a firm believer in stick poking as well.
Hopefully the machinist got the build right, even if his communication skills are non-existent.

Nope it was me, and just for fun I invented the word "synergy". It has no meaning and isn't even a real word but it is being used every day by pinhead executives and their subordinates in boardrooms across the nation

True. Or do your homework and find a supplier with a good track record and satisfied customers and part with your hard earned Euros - this worked for me.

Curses! that was you?? and did tell them to use it in meaningless sentences with words like "leverage" too? Well at least you've given them something (or is it nothing) to think about.

While I cannot take complete credit, I was a team player in those motivational pictures like tigers and lions etc you see on the walls of corporations to give employees inspiration and yes I have encouraged execs to use "leverage" as many times as possible in the same sentence.
