Default Oil Pan Removal

To completely remove oil pan do I need to remove power steering cylinder or other components for clearance. Look's kind of close. Thanks in advance.

Just unbolt the idler arm and pull the steering components down and the pan will clear. You will not have to take any of the joints apart.

Sometimes it helps to position the crank where 1/2 cyl. are in the upstroke. It just gives you an extra inch or two.

Good advise above, but in addition to the idler arm, I was forced to pull the 4 frame mounting bolts to the pwr str cyldr... and the exhaust cross over to get the pan out. I didn't think of setting #1-2 cylndr in upstroke. "Good advise"for next time!!! Hope yours goes easier. While your in there... a new rear main seal in good insurance..and easy to do :D :D :D
