Default 69 Vette- How to ID Positraction?

Just need a few to provide some input.

I read that posi became standard on all 70 Vettes going forward.

Without having the build sheet, window sticker, and ripping open the differential, can someone tell me how you can identify if a 69 came with Posi Track from the factory.
The VIN code maybe, or a stamp on the rearend possibly???

Thanks,
R

put the car in neutral, jack up one of the rear wheels, leave the other rear wheel on the ground.. try to turn the wheel up in the air by hand.. if it turns easilly it is not posi... unless of course your clutch packs are totally shot..

of course this does not tell you how it came from the factory. there is no way unless you have a sticker or a build sheet... I could have been replaced sometime in the last 40 years

Thanks Guys. Yep, did not think about the turning the tire option on the Jack.
Does this AK or AS code stamped anywhere on the car??

Default real ratio codes

Hello
My 68 has a stamp code on the bottom of the differential of which I think most vettes have; Here are the codes for the 69 Vette:
1969 Corvette Axle Ratios

Code Ratio Application
AK 3.36 Standard (327/350)
AL 3.08 Positraction (327/350)
AM 3.36 Positraction (327/350)
AN 3.55 Positraction (327/350)
AO 3.70 Positraction (327/350)
AP 4.11 Positraction (327/350)
AS 3.70 Standard (327/350)
AT 3.08 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)
AU 3.36 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)
AV 3.08 Positraction (427)
AW 3.08 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)
AY 2.73 Heavy Duty Positraction (427 Turbo-Hydra-Matic)
AZ 3.55 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)
FA 3.70 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)
FB 4.11 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)
FC 4.56 Heavy Duty Positraction (427)

Note: Most 1969 C3 Differentials were manufactured at Warren and are suffixed 'W'.

1969 models built after approximately August of 1969 use 1970 coded differentials.

Good luck.
