HELP gas gauge stuck
ok get this, I fill my gas tank up to full and the gas gauge needle goes past the F for full and all the way to the 5 o'clock position and will not move now. What the heck. Anybody know how to fix that ???? Thanks Jarred.

What year is your car? Sometimes the pin sender on the gas tank comes off. There is another post on the forum regarding this issue a few days ago. I have a 75, and the pin comes off the top of the gas tank. It is on the right side and can be accessed through the gas door. Push it back on and this may be your answer.

1977-1982
Either one of these show you step by step how to figure out what is wrong with the gauge.
From what you describe, you are missing the ohms input signal from the gauge. The manual will tell you how to figure it out!
