I want to make some simple speaker enclosures/backs out of fiberglass. I believe I know the basics but I have some questions:
1. Is there something simple to use as a release agent (ie: wax, tape, tin foil, shave cream , etc...)??
2. How many layers will be enough?? Non-structural items.
3. Which resin would be best??
When I do a fiberglass part the mold is very slick and several coats of mold release wax works fine,
I don't know what you are using for your buck/mold but if it is rather grainy and porous I like to use aluminum foil,
I would still run two layers of mat and be sure to roll out excess resin, you really want just enough resin to wet the mat fully,
