First off, I don't see the problem. It's a super-stretch limo, it's not like it's rice. Like someone posted above, if you're going to be in a limo, why not have it be a vette. Granted, it's not going to handle like a vette, but at least you're in a vette.
Second, why would you want to buy it and put it back to normal?? I'm sure that reserve is much higher than the current price of 25k. No doubt it would cost more to put it back than it would cost to just buy a vette.
There are a lot of various exotic limos, why not a vette?
P.S. I think that would go in the C5 section, not C3.
I agree... I like a stretch vette like I like other stretch cars... When you need one, it would be cool... how about this... I state in my will, that my family has to drive in a stretch C3 vette (like in X-Men movie) just to get the bucks... that way, that split second before death, I get the all over good feeling.
Besides, you're not buying a stretch limo vette - read the auction, you have to provide the vette to be converted - so you are buying a conversion to a stretch limo.
Even if I had the money AND I had a C5 vette I dont think I would be bidding to some guy with only and AOL address.
If you look at it , that auction isn't for the car.
That auction is for the conversion.
You win for say 35k, and you give them youre C-5 with the 35k and they do it.
Sounds like a bad deal imo.
Plus possible scam
Am I the only one that sees the fact that those images look very photochopped. Especially because of the fact that the scenery outside the interior pics dont match the scenery of the exterior pics. The interior shots all show other limos beside it, and the exterior pics show the "limo" infront of a house parked at an angle.
That and the fact that the actual strech part has a REALLY long window that was just copy and pasted from the section before it. I call the ultimate :bs on this crap.
I have to agree with those questioning the legitimacy of this car (appears someone has fairly good photo editing skills). Regardless, it would garner quite a bit of attention around here...
In my opinion, a streach C3 is awesome. Defanitly the ONLY limo I'd want to cruise in on a regular basis if I were to cruise in a limo on a regular basis.

I never claimed it was real, nor did I read the auction. I'm just saying that a Corvette limo wouldn't be a bad thing. Granted, I would never chop up my baby, but if someone had already converted a vette to a limo, I would definitely ride in it.
