On the contrary the replacement heads ( Vic Jrs 215cc ) were just swapped on to the 383 with the same components that would work well with the Vortec heads and still made more power across the board. Which was the whole point of the thread.
When the Vic Jrs. were properly matched up with correct components, the results were remarkable
