Default Carburetor question

my carburetor has a serious vacuum leak and I want to replace it unstead of rebuild it. What is a good carb to get to gain horsepower? how much CFM is ideal to gain power and keep my 350 running smooth?I am looking into the edelbrock carb and intake manifold packages are these good buys?

search search search. there are a lot of threads here on carbs. there are going to be many many people that will tell you that the edelbrock carb will not give you any more hp than the factory qjet. then there will be some that will say that since the factory qjet is a 750cfm then you need to go with a 750 cfm square bore. they are totally different animals the cfm rating dont compare.

Vacuum leaks can be fixed, is this all that's wrong? Fix, rebuild and keep it. ED
