I didn't use reflectix, but a woven 3mm fibreglass matting material with a reflective aluminium layer bonded to it. I bought 2 sq metres to cover the entire floor pan and trans tunnel and lower half of the firewall.
There were a few offcuts left over .. suitable for shielding cables/leads in close proximity to exhaust etc. I used a high temp silicone adhesive rated at 500*Celsius to bond to the underside fibreglass body.

By the way.... what's the temp rating of reflectix?
It seems to be predominantly used as a building roof insulation.
Not sure how it withstands exposure close to hot exhaust pipes and headers? Exhaust temps are very hot....

One roll did my '76 with room to spare. The 16" roll is what I used.

I installed it on mine five years ago inside and out with no problems. I drive it at least twice a week. The main reason I went with it was weight, but it turned out to very durable as well, and I've had no exhaust heat related issues. Mine has side pipes, if that makes a difference.

I have done 1 of my vettes complete with reflectix and next time I will use the Lizard Skin products. It will save a tremendous amount of time and with the spray wand you can get into the doors easily and every nook and cranny. The Lizard Skin products aren't cheap but work very well. Check around at most major speed suppliers and who has the best price. I will be getting some here very soon to do my 74, houstonvett
