How much would you pay.........
I have a chance to buy a 1988 truck with running 454, nothing special probably peanut ports but its a MKIV, so for a grand is it worth it??? I already have an intake, oil pump and alum water pump.

The doors, hood and bed will get you your money back if they're not damaged, plus it may have a THM 400 trans. Even if it's a 700r4, it's probably the heavy duty one found in cabs and cruisers.
Like the DJCom said, a little work gets you a free core. Steel is pretty high as well, so the scrapper may pick up the pieces for free.

Yes, its got a title and has a 3spd auto. I figure with the rear and trans i could make atleast half my money back easy. I don,t have a truck either so with a little work can be inspected to drive if needed. Thanks for the replies, sometimes you just need some reassurance...... I'm gonna try to get it.
