Default Air Conditioning help

I had my AC converted over to R134 a few months ago. The system was flushed, new compressor, new dryer, new orifice tube. There are no leaks that I can detect. The AC blows cold but clutch continuously cycles while I am driving. While idling or reving when not moving the clutch remains continuously engaged. I am showing about 45 psi on low side not sure about high side I dont have a guage for that. Can airflow over the condenser cause this cycling (on off every few seconds). Any ideas about what is causing this?

Thanks for any help!

My 78 had been converted to R134 sometime before I bought it 2 1/2 years ago, and it was functioning just like yours. A local mechanic with the right equipment checked everything with a leak detector probe and found none. Added refrigerant and all was happy. It's been 15 months and it's still working fine. Only took about a 1/2 hour and was well worth the $85 the mechanic charged for labor and refrigerant.
