Stig,
You might get more info posting this in the LS swap thread, but here are my thoughts. Don't take any of this as being facts since I have not done any research into C6 transmissions. The C6 probably uses a Tremec T56 like most of the other newer GM cars. The LS3 should have bolt holes that will accomodate pretty much any GM transmossion. You might have to buy a flywheel and bellhousing for the transmission, and replace the clutch as a standard procedure, but I'm thinking you can mate the C6 transmission to the LS3 in the configuration that will work in the C3. If I were you I'd do some more research into the C6 drivetrain to make sure the trans is something that can be bolted to a bellhousing.
I'm not sure its possible and definitely not worth it. You would need at a minimun, to add a bellhousing, and new tailshaft. I'm pretty sure the input and output shafts are different and would have to be changed as well.
Your best bet would be to find a 1998-2002 Camaro or Firebird and take the transmission from that. It would bolt right up to the LS3 and save you a ton of trouble.
