SilverVetteMan.... Where did you get your Spicer's? Do you know if they had the solids?

>Still looks like their "replacement" joints have the side angle mounted fittings
Yes agree, but their document 3264a_spl.pdf shows installation pictures of a "conventional" joint with the center zerck

I've had mine done but I haven't done them myself for lack of a press. One of the few things I haven't done. The guy I know at the local shop will r&r a pair of them for like $10 which is cheap enough to justify me not messing with them.

What centers the joint in the shaft? Seems like you could assemble the thing so it's all off center & kittywompus or something and have a nasty vibration as a result.

I just got my Spicer U-joints. They are solid. $22.20 each from a local place called Advanced Driveline. They also have yokes and repair yokes. I'll be talking to them again about the yokes as there are several different ones. I know the repros show couple of different ones depending on years and trans type. But Advanced's list shows several different lengths also ! (Some just a few thousanths different and others close to an inch different)

Just a few thousanths different? I wonder if that has anything to do with my driveshaft vibration. The listed u-joints don't fitmy car. I have no idea if my driveshaft is correct (my engine & trans aren't, so why should the shaft be correct?). Hmmm...time to go shopping for new u-joints maybe.
