Dyno results
I got my Pace Car back from the Dyno Shop in Santee last week. I had the distributor worked along with the carb. They did the standard Dyno tune up: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, HEI advance kit, and magnetic pickup. They also worked the secondaries, although I am not sure if they re-jetted them. The engine is making 160 lbs on a compression test. It is a stock L82, with 113k. The rear wheel hp was 220 @ 5200, with torque hitting 250# through the entire RPM range. The car has Heddman hedders, Hiflow cat and Flowmaster 2chamber mufflers. I figure the exhaust mods got me about 50hp over the factory rating at the flywheel. Not to shabby for a bone stock motor with high miles.

It probably is chasis. Unless you had the motor out. That's pretty good number for mostly a stock motor. Tuning is the most imortant factor of making power though. You can have all the go fast goodies in the world and make no power. I don't really know much about tuning though. Spark plugs, carb tuning, Ignition and all that. I'll leave that to my Auto Shop teacher. :smash:
