My sig picture shows what a zz4 is good for.... :D
I have 3.55s in mine and isnt too bad for street driving, but i cant ever just "drop the clutch"
As far as the mph and rpms # you can use this site to enter in ur gear ratios and what not and figure out which would be best...http://www.f-body.org/gears
I don't have a ZZ4, but mine is built to pretty near those specs/....and I"d say anything in the mid 3's is plenty, especially with no overdrive....
biggest thing I'd do is add o/drive...and to do that cheap...means automatic tranny....200 or 700r4.....but that depends on how much freeway driving you do with it, around town, it's not worth it....but if you cruise freeways, yeh, it is....
I got 3.36's in mine. I like it fine. You can grab a rollin' first gear like you would grab second in a five speed and it doesn't have to wind way out at highway speeds.

I'm running 3.73 with a 700r, 2800 stall, 750 Holley vac secondaries, BFG 275x60x15. Best 1/4 12.82 at 104 mph going thru the traps at 5200 rpm,(right at the max hp). 1.69 60 foot time. My zz4 is stock 355 hp. The hot cam would probably pick up the top end. LOL
I am in the process of changing my 3.08 to 3.90 on my 73 with ZZ4 w/hot cam. Presently running 13.83 @108 at an altitude of 4,300 feet. Traction is not a problem now and a strong launch is really hard on the clutch. Will post new ET in about a week.
