Default Quick Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oVG7XTKG5U

I'd like to thank... ME! For all my blood sweat cursing and hard work, and VetteZuki for the vid. The car is tuned finally, kinda, not really. I've discovered that when I get the motor tuned perfectly to ride during the day, it's about 1 point leaner at night.

So I'm starting to see the magic of computer controlled FI.

Anyways, during the day it will cruise around 13.5:1 at a low rpm with a WOT at 11.8:1. At night the cruise is closer to 14:1 with a WOT from 12-13:1. Think I'll richen up the WOT a bit and let it run rich during the day, it's more of a night time cruiser anyways. Prob lean out the cruise another 1/2 a point.

The timing is set at 18 initial, 24 total thanks to BigBird. I was going to bring the timing up to 26 or 28, but after I saw the boost guage spike at 13lbs yesterday! Think I'll stick with the 6 degree bushing. Having less timing kills some of the hp which is good I guess because my tires don't spin as much.

What temperature difference do you have between day and night ?
One point AFR is a lot ! Do you live in the desert ?

Nice video and great exhaust/supercharger sound by the way.
Did not see much of the car because of the night, but nice wheels too.
It would be nice if you could you post some pictures of the engine... by day, preferably

What's that mini-van doing passing you on the highway?

...

... just ribbing you.

Nice work.
It looks like a blast!

At the top of third gear I'm around 100mph. The car makes easily over 600hp. If you notice the camera dips after I let off the throttle, that's because I'm stepping on the brakes hard. Then I accelerate and get to cruising speed, I over do it with the brakes.

I'm totally paranoid when I drive the car. If I get a misdemeanor for speed exhibition I'll get kicked out of law school.

As far as the taillights, I still have one on each side. And stock C3s only have 2 brake lights anyways, so I don't think I could get a ticket for just one out of 4.

Go here for specs:

There's another video of the car on that site somewhere under my name.

Here's a pic of my spotless chromed out engine bay.

Well, if you're going to be a good, honest lawyer, then be careful and stay in school. (I have a couple of friends who are great at it. Rare men of good character and integrity.)

If not,... then...

Have you taken it to the track?

Not yet, I plan to soon. The problem is that I have a stock diff and a stock T56. So if I run slicks I'll break something. But right now, 1st gear is worthless. And 2nd only hooks because I short shift the crap out of it.

I'll prob run a horrible 60 foot, a decent quarter mile, but pull off an awesome mph. We'll see.

I only see two SPAL puller fans which seem to be only 12" diameter on the photo. Is it enough to cool your supercharged engine ?
Actually I've got the same setup on my copper radiator, works great, but I only have about half your power...
And I confirm... I love your wheels, they fit like a glove with the design of the C3

What does the hose at the back of the carb cover elbow do?

Those are 12" puller fans I found on E-Bay, and the radiator was an aluminum one I found on Ebay too. All very cheap. And yes it stays cool, 180 degrees all day long.

The hose on the carb bonnet is a boost reference for the fuel pump. Increases fuel pressure as boost increases.

Well, if you can track it smartly and just give up the 60ft times, it'll take that "edge" off the street racing itch. And keep you and others on the road out of harms way and keep you in school. Much fun, too.
