seat back release latch
I'm trying to replace the broken seat back release guide that runs down the back of the seat back and attaches to the lower bracket on the seat bottom on my '70. Has anyone had any luck in installing the rivet pin into the bracket? It looks like I need a press to squeeze the rivet pin till it mushrooms on the underside to hold the latch secure. I bought the replacement release guide with the pin and two rubber shims and then I stopped by a machine shop and the guy wanted $45 to just install the pin. I can buy the entire assemble for around $55 so I passed. Is there an easier way? Sorry I don't have any pictures available. Thanks for the help.
