It's my understanding that a blower fan from a later model C3 will mover more air than the earlier models. Suggest you get one for like an '81 or '82 and compare to yours.

Yes,later C3`s will move more air but they are wider.I was trying to avoid the spacer route.Seems like someone would make them,as i have seen few earlier cars that didn`t need some help.

People have posted that the best way to go is to get the latest GM replacement because it has more blades and they are at a more agressive angle. Call your GM parts dealer and make sure they have one and then take yours with you to compare.
