Drivers door has started dropping
Hi All,
Any idea how you tighten the hinges (or for that matter remove) on the doors? I had a quick look and cant see how you get a spanner on them. The drivers side door just suddenly started dropping about an eight of an inch just as it closes so that it drags on the catch pin, if you lift the door when it is open it seems tight but if you nearly close the door and give it a lift it raises a quarter inch? any ideas what's causing it? I am thinking it may be hinge wear?

could be any of the items associated with the door hinge....
Most likely the bush has worn through....

Pop off the door panels and remove hinge bolts from the door frame, this is much easier that going to the birdcage (body) mounting points, one which is hidden WAY UP under the dash panel. Like previous poster says door hinge bushing is only thing bad, replacement bushings are cheap. Have fun!
