Parking lights and dome lights are on a separate fuse. Do you have interior lights? If not check the interior light ground which is under drivers dash pad near drivers door post.

Checked power at fuse feed side was hot. No power at brake switch, went back further and found no power to flasher. Wiring schematic shows flasher next in line from fuse feed side so does this mean problem is in fuse panel? Has anyone had fuse panel out before?
and you are working on what year ?
tackle 1 specific problem at a time.
follow the schematics with a meter thru each fuse and connection.
Do Not assume anything. and yes the fuse block can have internal problems.
(bad connections)

Its a 73. The wiring schematic shows fuse then flasher then brake switch. No power at flasher so my guess its in fuse panel. I think i will try hooking power direct to flasher to see if that fixes it, will post result. By the way how do i get my year vette posted above avatar like yours is?
thats your Fourm name, you can't change that,
but you can add Text over your Avatar
the only thing between the fuse and the hazard flasher power, "large pink wire I think "!
is the fuse box, I suggest you crack open the fuse block, and inspect it anyway,
some are pretty bad after 40 years, the wire connects to the back of the fuse clip inside the box. 69VETT
Update: New turn signal switch, new headlight switch. Still no running, brake or emergancy lights. Headlights and turn signals work. No power to haz. flasher or brake switch although jumping power to haz. flasher does get power to brake switch still no lights. Also tcs/radio fuse is now blowing fuses instantly, did not before starting messing with things, not sure if related to orignal propblem or if new problem. Any suggestions???
It sounds as if you have diagnosed your problem correctly down to the contacts behind the fuse panel. If you have power on the right side contact of the haz fuse and the power is not getting to the haz flasher then you are going to have to go behind the panel. Remove the 2 screws and unclip the catches on both sides and the panel should release. Its not much fun doing this under the dash.
On the tcs fuse. Unplug all tcs connectors , if there is something on the acc spade unplug that, radio and whatever else is on that fuse and see if that stops the short.
Check the steering harness connection. All the power to your flashers and turn signals go to it.I had the same problem and had a couple of ends in the harness that had corrosion and distortion. It seems the steering column had been replaced and the harness appeared to have been pulled apart several times and forced back together distorting a couple of clips in the harness. I ended up having to wire around the harness on one of the wires. I used a jumper between the ends of the connector to jump the 2 corresponding wires to track it down. You may also need new flasher relays. One on the fuse panel and one behind the right side lower dash panel. When you replaced your turn signal switch did you make sure your wire harness was clear in the steering column? A dead short in the column will blow your fuses.
