Vortec 5300 Swap.
If I am correct I believe the 5300 out of a 1999 Silverado is a smaller variant of the LS1?
If so It would be the same as bolting an LS1 in a Stingray? I know such a swap has been done before? Anyone know of helpful sites? How about hangups? I know the 5300 Bolts in differently I just do not know how much.
If I remember correctly this engine should be externally balanced and will not have a hole in the flywheel? Will it still bolt up to any scattershield or Muncie/T10 bellhousing?
