Rehab needs
Have replaced all front end parts and rubber as well as rear needs (trailing arm and mounts etc..)
Question: I've had the carburetor rebuild and it runs pretty good.
What else do I need to upgrade/rehab?
Distributor cap and wires?
Vacuum lines?
Hoses?
Anything I'm not aware of that may need attention from sitting for so long?
thanks, G
Drain the fuel from the tank if there is still some inside.
Visually check hoses for cracks, especially the rubber fuel lines if you have some, beginning from the tank, and the coolant hoses, too.
Fill the fuel tank with a few gallons of fresh fuel.
Drain the brake fluid and replace with the same kind. Then, bleed brakes. Check for leaks, too ( brake calipers ).
Drain the engine oil and change the oil filter too.
Drain the coolant and change hoses, if necessary. Then fill up with fresh coolant, not water.
When you first start the car, keep the hood open, and have someone check for leaks ( any kinds ). A fire extinguisher near at hand is not a bad idea.

Replace thermostat. About 1/2 water & 1/2 coolant.
Engine belts & hoses- don't forget fuel pump hoses.
You can look at the wires- if it's running fine- no rush.
Forgot to mention car has 49,000 miles.
Have done all oil, coolant, tune up needs. Just want to check for ideas I may have missed.
Car runs great now. Has a little uneven running at idle, but mostly neglect issues.
Thanks again, G
