My 77 was just brought to me from my hometown where it was sitting for about a year and a half and i was expecting some leaks. They are all going to have to be fixed but i was wondering what I should go about fixing first, which is going to be the easiest and which will be hardest, and what i going to have to be done.
MULTIPLE FLUID LEAKS:
transmission pan,output shaft seal.
oil pan, and rear main seal.
power steering pump, and assist unit.
Engine oil pan and rear main seal can be done at same time.
Transmission pan & change filter at same time. Remove drive shaft
for output shaft seal.
If the PS hoses are good, this may be fast & easy. No Leak made by Gold Eagle 14 fl. oz. can stop leaks. Grease fiting: Lube w/ synthetic.
I was thinking about throwing some stop leak in my ps but going about the rear main and output shaft leaks are a pain to get under my car. I have been driving it around and just keeping the fluids full but I just don't have an easy was to get under my car. The leaks have softened up a little but I was wondering what is to be done with the tranny leaks because thats what leaks the most.

Same boat I was in some 40+ years ago, time to buy some tools and learn....first is a good floor jack to get the beast up in the air, then some GOOD JACKSTANDS so gravity don't kill you....
then a trip to SEARS and don't waste your money on 12 point sockets and rat tschits.....etc....
get a oil drain pan from HD/Lowes.....in the concrete dept, large black pastic....
as for the tranny leaks...a good gasket set with some RTV and carb cleaner to seal that puppy UP, is the first suggestion...
Like all have said every one of those seals are real easy to replace except maybe the power steering pump which is available at most parts stores. All require basic hand tools and a good socket set. When you are ready to do each job make a post and I guarantee you will get lots of help from those of us that have had the same problems in the past.
