Radiator Replacement
I have a leaking radiator in my '79 with an auto trans. and would like to replace it this winter. I am wondering if I should get aluminum or copper? I don't have any intent to race it; just a weekend driver. Would something from Advanced Auto parts or a similar store work, or should I buy from Corvette Central or another Corvette parts dealer?
How involved is it to replace? Would I have to remove the hood?

i went with the heavy duty proliance copper that set me back $250 includes shipping. with a 160 degree stat, mine stayed between 160-200 all summer. works in chicago, where we have global cooling, i suppose it would work in s bend too.
