4 speed swap?

4 speed swap?
I have a 79 auto and want to use the original parts like the Super T 10, factory everything to look original. This trans will be behind a 383 400hp and 450tq engine, Will the 4 speed trans handle it or should I just build up the automatic I already have?

I once ran 400+ hp in front of a Super T-10 in a camaro. No problems with the trans. The frame on the camaro is another story altogether.... let's just say I had trouble closing the doors and fitting the tops back on.

I'm most of the way through my conversion. Not a big pain, just a lot of bits & pieces needed. I was able to get most of them from Wilcox. Theres lots of threads in here on the subject.
