Vette won't start
It is a 79 with a replacement engine. 350 with an Edelbrock 1406 carb and HEI distributor. I pulled it out of storage and it started right up. The next day it will not start and I did nothing to it. I have confirmed that each spark plug has spark and I put a new coil in. I also put new gas in it. The car will putter once or twice and that is the best it will do now. I took the valve covers off and it looks like each valve has full travel. I verified the engine is in time. Not sure what to do now. My next step was to do a rebuild of the carb thinking there might be some varnished gas in it. However, I see gas squirting into the throat of the carb when trying to start it. I also confirmed plenty of gas getting to the carb. HELP!

Wet Plugs maybe?
since it ran before and nothing was changed form one start to another the only thing left is to clean your plugs or install new ones if there gas fowled.....If you messed with the distributor or crossed wires this may not cure your problem....But its still a symptom of gas fowled plugs....that was my initial suggestion to check..
